Finance & Accounting Vietnam

The Finance & Accounting Executive is responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliance under Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), and accurate month-end reporting. The role supports tax filings, audits, and internal management reports to ensure the company complies with Vietnamese regulations and group policies.

Job Description

1. Accounting & Reporting

  • Record daily accounting transactions in accordance with VAS and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger entries, supporting schedules, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare month-end and year-end closing reports (Trial Balance, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Support consolidation and intercompany reporting with group entities.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during statutory and group audits.

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Verify and process vendor invoices, staff reimbursements, and supplier payments.
  • Maintain accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable aging reports.
  • Follow up on overdue receivables and prepare monthly AR summaries.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances with other Port Cities entities.

3. Tax & Compliance

  • Prepare and file monthly VAT, PIT, and WHT declarations using HTKK/eTax.
  • Support annual Corporate Income Tax (CIT) calculation and finalization.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and liaise with tax authorities when needed.
  • Maintain proper documentation for tax audits and inspections.

4. Budgeting & Analysis

  • Support cash-flow forecasting, budget tracking, and variance analysis.
  • Provide financial data and reports to management for decision-making.
  • Identify potential cost-saving or process-efficiency opportunities.

5. Systems & Process

  • Maintain accuracy of financial data in ERP system (Odoo).
  • Support automation or process enhancement initiatives within the finance function.
  • Ensure proper documentation and internal controls are maintained.

Requirements


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in an FDI or multinational company.
  • Experience working with external auditors and tax authorities in Vietnam

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS); IFRS knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
  • Experience with ERP software (Odoo preferred; SAP/Oracle acceptable).
  • Knowledge of Vietnamese tax regulations and electronic tax submission systems (HTKK/eTax).
